Grant: 17 months
He's growing up!
A few big changes this past month:
1. We had ear tubes put in him to hopefully get on top of the chronic ear infections. It was a quick and easy procedure. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again if they fall out too soon.
2. We cut off his curl! It was getting really long and a bit out of hand. When our neighbor mentioned that his mullet/rat tail was starting to look like we did it on purpose we realized it was time. The scissors came out and a few snips later he was all cleaned-up. He's very handsome with his new do!
3. In the past week his language has really exploded. He doesn't have new words, but the words he does use are becoming very understandable.

Hiking with Aunt Heidi
Aunt Heidi visited for the weekend. We took her for a great hike. The trail was high enough that there was a little snow and the mud puddles were frozen. The frozen puddles begged to be smashed by little feet!
Heidi had a great dose of reality when Grant freaked out at the half way point and screamed the entire way back to the car. No idea what his problem was!

Fall in the Rockies
We started the day in Frisco, CO, drove over to Turquoise Lake in Leadville for some fishing, rock throwing, and walking around the lake. The journey continued with a scenic drive from Leadville to Minturn/Vail. We stopped at a fishing dock half way between Leadville and Minturn. Morgan fished and Grant threw rocks in the water and eventually just waded in. The adventure ended at an ice cream shop in Frisco. Morgan had his ice cream in a cone (first attempt at the cone...he usually goes cup) and Grant enjoyed a cookie (in just a t-shirt, diaper, and hat because everything else was wet).
Grant: 15 months
Grant is slowly becoming a little kid. He's still a bit of a mama's boy but lately he's taking a huge interest in the activities of his brother and other kids.
He's the king of cuddles and cuteness but fussiness is still on list and temper tantrums have recently been added.
His vocabulary is really starting to develop and I'm hoping that the fussiness and temper tantrums subside once he's better able to communicate.
